"I can do it (go)... I'll start from Zero, from scratch... it's not something I haven't done before..." These sentences and phrases are the ones we usually use to motivate ourselves that the risky decision we made to start a project is correct even when we are tired of the difficult situation in our country of origin, whether due to citizen insecurity, social injustice, widespread corruption, or economic instability, it is difficult, but not impossible, to start a new life in a different place.
Being uprooted from family, friends, professional career, and in general, from a lifetime brings a series of risk factors that influence the subconscious, generating unfounded fears that often make us go back. However, dealing with self-doubt not only requires a certain degree of stubbornness, but it also requires developing a mental and spiritual strength of colossal proportions, a constant dose of serotonin, and a couple of slaps from time to time.
Whatever it takes to take that first big step and get out of your comfort zone is worth it because every sacrifice has its reward.
