According to the biblical story, God led his chosen people through the desert to a land flowing with milk and honey. They had to go through decades of pilgrimage and scarcity to enter that region of abundance. Although it is true thousands of years have passed, innumerable wars and scientific discoveries, and today, the chosen people are made up of individuals and families from all over the world who hear the all-powerful invocation of the media announcing Canada as the contemporary promised land.
And it is that, indeed, in the lands of the extreme north of the new continent, the land is abundant, but there are few people to inhabit it. Demographically, the country has a majority of older adults and therefore requires young professionals who can contribute the necessary taxes for their retirement. In recent decades, Canada has been characterized by having a successful migration program, displacing the so-called "American Dream" due to the insecurity and saturation of migrants to the United States.
Canada annually welcomes dozens and even hundreds of migrants, with incredible generosity regardless of religion, race, and sex, to whom it offers free education, an efficient health system, and incomparable effectiveness of its services. However, just as in the biblical story, many are called. Still, few are chosen since there are a series of filters that the state puts before through its immigration programs, and with good reason to preserve the well-earned rights of citizens and permanent residents, requires a demographic condensation. This social sieve will allow thousands of applicants to participate in the benefits of this nation, which is undoubtedly positioned as one of the best countries to live in the world.
